About elnup

Welcome to elnup – a brand born from a head full of feelings, a sketchbook full of odd little people, and a love of saying things that are sometimes hard to put into words.

Hi, I’m Michelle.
Designer, illustrator, overthinker, coffee drinker, wife and mum.

I trained as a graphic designer and have worked in the creative industry for nearly 30 years. My career has taken me from designing Christmas crackers, jigsaw puzzles, dinner sets and dog toys, to developing full product ranges for major retailers and travelling overseas to oversee production.

Somewhere along the way, my work naturally leaned into greetings cards and illustration. I’ve created bespoke ranges for wonderful card and publishing companies and illustrated children’s books too.

But the little people in my sketchbook?
They’re completely mine.

They began as quiet drawings during busy seasons of life. Sitting with a pencil and paper brought calm when things felt overwhelming. Over time, those characters became something I wanted to share.

And that’s where elnup comes in.

elnup isn’t just a name. It’s the woods I played in as a child with my best friends. A place of imagination, freedom and connection. We built worlds there. We felt brave there. We felt like ourselves.

That feeling stayed with me.

Through drawing and storytelling, I try to recreate a little of that space. A place where emotions are welcome. Where nothing feels too big or too small. Where connection matters.
